    Canaveral Construction Set To LEED In Green Building Projects

    In March, 2009, four administrators for Canaveral Construction passed the LEED – Accredited Professional Exam. All of Canaveral Construction’s candidates – J. David Nash, Art Lloyd, Mike Harkcom and Shawn Bushong – were successful on their first attempt at this most difficult of professional exams.

    Congratulations to Eric Jespersen!

    Eric Jespersen, Canaveral Construction Co., Inc.’s Superintendent on the LCC Windows and Louvers Replacement Project, was recently selected to receive the Kennedy Space Center Environmental & Energy Award.

    This award pertains to NASA’s Sustainability Program. He developed a plan to carefully remove and transport more than 20,000 lbs. of aluminum trusses and framing materials to the Propellants North Project site for reuse. In addition, more than forty (40) 4’ x 5’ glazing panels will be reused as historic elements on NASA’s first LEED platinum certified facility. This effort is estimated to create a total cost savings of nearly $200,000.00.
